“How do I know if what I believe is the truth?”

God communicated to us through His Word.  He left it up to us to study what He said.  He always tells the truth.  If you do not search the Scriptures, you will be tricked into believing what is false.

Acts 17:11  “They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.”

Romans 3:4  “Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true.  As the Scriptures say about Him,  ‘You will be proved right in what you say, and you will win your case in court.’”

In contrast, speaking of Satan, John says this:  John 8:44  “When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
